梁笑棠（謝天華飾）搗破社團「進興」後而貌似犧牲，其實死亡只是掩飾，在這幾年他潛伏國內，繼續當臥底。
棠聯同國內公安成功搗破一個粵港犯罪集團，回復警察身份，被任命CIB刑事情報科教官，專責物色及訓練臥底。
棠是一個另類教官，他囂張、浮誇、不依規矩辦事、凡事去盡沒底線的作風，不容易被學員接受，亦惹來同事及上司不滿。
